RTSD Requests Feedback on District Mission Statement Drafts of a new district mission statement were created with input from the Strategic Plan Committee. Community members are invited to share their feedback via a survey through August 29.
Senior Parking As in previous years, there continues to be limited parking space available for seniors on our campus. Seniors are given the opportunity to obtain a 2014-15 parking permit through a random lottery which will be held on Thurs., Aug. 21. A packet is being sent to all seniors which will include the open campus form, parking application and a 3x5 card. The open campus form and 3x5 card must be sent back to Ms. Sullivan in the main office by August 18 to be eligible. All instructions are included in the packet. If you do not receive the mailing, stop by the main office to pick up a packet.
Fifth RHS Student Named National Merit Scholarship Winner in 2014 James Gurian was among the last group of awardees. He joins four other 2014 graduated honored this year. Read more.
RHS Students Earn Top Honors at FBLA National Conference Sophomore Katherine Hung placed 4th in Public Speaking and junior Joan Lim placed 6th in Business Calculations. Read more.
Principal Tony Rybarczyk Named New Director of Elementary Education;

Instruction/Professional Development by the School Board at its monthly meeting on June 24. Read more.
RTSD Board Appoints New Business Administrator The board approved Michelle Diekow at its June 24 meeting. Current business administrator Tim Vail is retiring effective August 4. Read more.
RTSD Earns National Communications Award for Social Media
The district was named a National School Public Relations Association Golden Achievement Award winner. Honorable Mentions were also received for video and print. Read more

Summer Study Skills Fran Misener, RHS Literacy Coach, compiled a LibGuide titled Study Skills that will be beneficial for both parents and students. Pay close attention to the Study Island tab, which holds information on the web-based tool students can access from home to brush up on skills in Algebra, Biology and Literature. College Night for Seniors is Tues., Sept. 16 from 6:45-8:30 p.m. in the RHS auditorium and the Black Box. A letter with details will be mailed home this summer. Attendance is highly encouraged as extremely important information will be covered during the evening. Any questions? Please contact your child's guidance counselor.
The first SAT is Sat., Oct. 11. Registration deadline is Sept. 12. Any questions? Please email Jeannie Semar or call 610-293-0855 x3527. If you have any questions regarding accomodations, please contact your case manager. For fee waivers, please contact your guidance counselor.
The 2014 PSAT is Wed., Oct. 15 for grades 9-11. Examination starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends by 11:30 a.m. If you have extended time or other accomodations, the test will end by 2 p.m. or later. If you'd like to apply for accomodations, please contact your case manager.

Naviance Juniors and Seniors - for the purpose of college planning, it is critical that guidance has the correct email in Naviance for students and their parent/guardian(s). To update student emails, look under the "About Me" tab. Under "Official Things" select "Profile." Student emails can be updated on this page. Parents, please email Leonor Perez and include your name, your student's name and correct email.
Transcript Fees for Seniors A fee of $3 is due for each transcript request processed. Only checks can be accepted and made payable to "RHS Guidance." Payment is due the day after a transcript request has been made via Naviance, and transcripts will be held until payment has been received. Please see your counselor with any questions.
Transcript Requests During Summer Transcripts sent out over the summer of 2014, prior to the start of school (September 2), will only have courses and grades posted for the last completed school year. Seniors requesting transcripts for college applications, please read your homepage of Family Connection on Naviance for detailed information and specifics.
Graduate Transcripts: Radnor High School students who have graduated and would like a copy of their official transcript for college, work or other purposes can find a form and directions here. The fee is $3 per request. Checks or money orders are acceptable forms of payment. Make checks payable to "Radnor High School." Guidance Office Summer Hours Please note, Radnor High School and the guidance office will be switching over to summer hours starting Mon., June 23. The guidance office will revert back to standard operating hours of 7 a.m.-3 p.m. as of Mon., August 18.
Student Directory Update and Registration Deadline - July 31 If you are new to the district or have never registered your family's contact information in our PTO/PTSA Student Directory database previously OR you need to update your contact information in the database, please do so now at www.RTSDStudentDirectory.com by July 31.
If you are already have a student(s) enrolled in the district and registered in the directory and are just now enrolling another student, please add him/her to your existing directory account by logging in with the UserID and password you created when you initially set up your directory account.
