     As our current board wraps things up, I would like to thank my colleagues, Julia Ward, Jessica Schwartz and Nancy DerSimonian for their time, dedication and hard-work.  It has been a pleasure working with you all.  Also, thank you to ALL of the parents who volunteered as chairpersons and/or committee members in 2011-12.  We had an amazing year, thanks to you! 

     Although I will no longer be PTO president next year, I will continue to be involved in the PTO. I am looking forward to enjoying my son and daughter's 8th grade year.  I urge you, as one parent to another, to get involved at RMS.  The middle school years are full of transitions and growth, but believe it or not, our kids still like to see us.....even if they act like they don't.  So jump in and take advantage of as many opportunities as you can to be involved in your child's life.  In my opion, having your child be completely embarrassed by your mere presence guarantees years of great story-telling, as they journey into adulthood.   And I can't lie, it's just plain fun!
