The provider of our Home Access Center (HAC) service recently updated its security to include case-sensitive passwords.Prior to this update, a password that had capital and lower case letters would be accepted if it was keyed in all lowercase characters. All passwords are now case sensitive and must be keyed in exactly as was assigned by the system. Please refer to your system-assigned original password to be sure you key the password in a case-sensitive format. If you are unsure of your password, please contact your school's main office. 7th-Graders: Save the Date! Fri., March 21, 7-9 p.m. at RMS. All RMS 7th-graders are invited to the PTO's 7th-grade student social "Luau on Louella". There will be plenty of friends, snacks and fun. Come prepared to move on the dance floor or in the gym. The cost is $15 per person. Tickets will be sold during lunch on March 11, 14 and 19-21. 8th-Grade Assembly on March 21The RMS PTO will host Mayhem Poets. This trio of wordsmiths will entertain the 8th-graders with their energetic slam poetry program called "Slam in the Schools". The program ties in to a study of slam (or spoken word) poetry within the 8th-grade curriculum. This art form combines verbal mastery, originality and creativity with oral performance skills in a way that is engaging, inspirational and fun.

7th-Grade Assembly on March 31The RMS PTO welcomes and sponsors the Walnut Street Theatre Touring Outreach Company to the auditorium stage. The Walnut Street Theatre group will be performing their show "No Easy Road to Freedom," which ties in to the study of civil rights in 7th-grade. The program will include scenes on immigration, Japanese internment, Native American resettlement, voting rights for women and minorities and the Civil Rights movement, among other inspiring stories of bravery and determination.
Great Opportunity to join the district wide PTO/PTSA Student Directory Committee We are looking for those eager to help with one of the largest RMS PTO fundraisers: the Student Directory. Work with other RTSD student directory volunteers to maintain a consistent look and feel to our directories. The positions we need are:
Data Administrators- to work with the website administrator and RMS administration to review and update the RMS directory database.
Salespeople- to work on sending emails, making phone calls and visiting our existing client advertisers. If you like to generate new business, even better! We will train on the job!
Production Coordinator- to gather and review RMS specific information for production and placement in the final student directory.

The Wayne Art Center's after-school art/culinary club, Artful Afternoons, is back for RMS students!The session includes four weeks of ceramics classes, followed by four weeks of cooking instruction. Students are bused from RMS to the art center, where they are picked up at 5 p.m.. The club runs on Tuesdays, from Jan. 14 to March 4. Cost: $120 per child.
