A Message from the Principal
November 26, 2019
Dear Ithan Families,
I have shared in the past that Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I enjoy the time spent with family and the traditions we share. This year, my family is changing traditions and we are traveling for Thanksgiving for the first time in a long time.
I really love Thanksgiving because it allows us to take time to share our gratitude by thinking about what it is that we are thankful for in a purposeful way. The choice to live with gratitude is one that is beneficial to everyone. I enjoy this time of year which is set aside for the purpose to reflect on the wonderful blessings of the year. I also love to help prepare a big Thanksgiving family dinner.
As I join my family this year, I will reflect upon the joy that is Ithan. I feel blessed to work with a staff and families who are dedicated to working hard to create the best possible school for our children. I feel blessed that our students and families are happy and appreciative of our wonderful school and are willing to pitch in and work together for success. One example is the collaborative work and donations collected to create Thanksgiving meals for others in need. Our Student Council and volunteer parents created 65 complete meals, along with extra groceries which will help families in need. Thank you for all you do to support Ithan Elementary.
I hope your Thanksgiving is blessed with safe travels, relaxing times with your family and friends and quiet moments to enjoy them. I wish you a Thanksgiving filled with abundance, appreciation and special gatherings.
