Mr. David Stango, Assistant Principal
Mr. Stango is in his fourth year as Assistant Principal of Student Services at Radnor High School. He joined RTSD in March of 2013 from his position as an art teacher at Penncrest High School in Rose Tree Media School District. He was acting assistant principal at Penncrest in the spring of 2012. He was Penncrest's student council advisor and served on the board of the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils. In this role here at Radnor, he is responsible for discipline and attendance and various day to day operations such as daily schedules, assemblies, emergency drills, the scheduling of school wide assessments and HS Hope. He holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Tyler School of Art, a master's degree in Education Leadership from Neumann University.
Mr. Michael Friel, Athletic Director
Mr. Friel is in his eighth year as the Athletic Director at Radnor High School. He came to Radnor from Ridley High School where he spent ten years as a member of the school's English Department. Prior to coming to Radnor, Mr. Friel spent ten years as a member of Ridley's football staff and was the Head Lacrosse Coach at Springfield High School. Mr. Friel is a 1998 graduate of Cabrini College where he was a four-year starter on the lacrosse team. His main responsibilities include overseeing the high school athletics programs, as well as coordinating all facility uses at the high school.
Mr. Brett Thomas, Dean of Students
Mr. Thomas is in his twelfth year at Radnor High School. Mr. Thomas began his career at Upper Darby High School, where he spent four years teaching special education. He began as a special education teacher in Radnor in 2005, serving in that role for six years. He has served as Dean of Students for the last six years at RHS. Mr. Thomas earned his bachelor's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Secondary Social Studies and Communication Studies from West Chester University, and his master's degree in Educational Leadership and his Administrative Certificate through St. Joseph's University. Mr. Thomas' primary responsibilities include: monitoring student discipline, attendance and tardiness. He is a member of HS Hope and a faculty leader of Radnor’s Challenge. Mr. Thomas is also head JV lacrosse coach.
