  • PT Kevgas

    Mrs. Panayota "PT" Kevgas, Principal

    Mrs. Kevgas is the Principal of Radnor High School. Before taking the helm of the school in June 2019, she was the RHS Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs since 2015. Mrs. Kevgas has served Radnor High School since January 2002 as a mathematics and biology teacher. In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Kevgas developed syllabi for Advanced Placement (AP) Biology and Honors Biology courses, developed and instituted the AP Biology curriculum, facilitated and led technology trainings for fellow teachers and was a member of the district's Strategic Planning Committee (2008-13) and its Schoology Advance Team (2013-14). Mrs. Kevgas also served as graduation coordinator for four years. Mrs. Kevgas earned a B.A. from Villanova University in 2000, a M.A. in Educational Leadership from Immaculata University in 2002 and a K-12 Principal Certification from Immaculata in 2014. She is currently pursuing her Letter of Eligibility.

    Ryan Buterbaugh Mr. Ryan Buterbaugh, Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs

    Mr. Buterbaugh joined RTSD in December 2015 from Colonial School District, where he served as a social studies teacher at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School for 12 years. In this role, Buterbaugh acted as a pilot teacher for the Pennyslvania Classrooms for the Future Grant Program, a development team member for new social studies curriculum and a mentor for new teachers in the social studies department. Prior to this position, Buterbaugh was a middle school teacher at Azalea Gardens Middle School in Norfolk, VA. Buterbaugh earned his undergraduate degree in secondary education from University of Pittsburgh and his masters in education administration from Temple University. He holds a Pennsylvania II Social Studies Teacher Certification and Pennsylvania Principal Certification.

    Dr. MacNamara joined RTSD in 2020 from Coatesville Area School District, where he served as Assistant Principal of Coatesville Area Intermediate High School since 2013. In this role, he was responsible for student discipline; served as Local Education Agency (LEA) representative to students receiving special education and gifted services; observed and evaluated teachers in multiple content areas including guidance and support staff; monitored and reported progress on the ATSI plan; developed the master schedule; managed the budget for Math, Music and Family Consumer Science Departments; and updated emergency procedure plan and operations annually. He also served as Safe Schools Program administrator, organizer and lead on the Equity Team, participant on the Student Assistance Program (SAP) team and mentor to new administrators. Dr. MacNamara holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Millersville University, a Master of Education and Principal Certification from Cabrini University and a Doctor of Education from Immaculata University. 

    Lauren RainesMrs. Lauren Raines, Assistant Principal of Student Affairs

    Lauren Raines is an Assistant Principal of Student Affairs at Radnor High School. She joined the RHS administrative team in 2021 from her previous positions at Radnor Middle School, where she has served as a school counselor and Science teacher since joining the district in 2006. During her time at RMS, she guided students through the course selection process and participated in the development of the RMS master schedule. She also served as a 504 coordinator and was a member of the RMS data team; Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team; diversity, equity and inclusion team, and the Student Assistance Program (SAP). Raines also developed and implemented the school-wide, middle-level portion of the district's 339 Plan for Career and Technical Readiness and spearheaded the implementation of the "Where Everybody Belongs" (WEB) program. She also served as a diversity, equity and inclusion teacher leader, Student Council advisor, Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) committee member, Science Vertical Team member, and Gifted teacher leader. Raines holds a Bachelor of Science in Science Education from East Carolina University, Master's Degree in Secondary and Post-Secondary Counseling and Psychology from West Chester University and a Certification in Educational Leadership from Cabrini College. She joins principal PT Kevgas, assistant principals Ryan Buterbaugh and Dr. Joseph MacNamara. Raines replaces former Assistant Principal Keziah La Torre, who accepted a position with Wissahickon School District in August 2021.

    Michael Friel
    Mr. Michael Friel, Athletic Director

    Mr. Friel is in his twelfth year as the Athletic Director at Radnor High School. He came to Radnor from Ridley High School where he spent ten years as a member of the school's English Department. Prior to coming to Radnor, Mr. Friel spent ten years as a member of Ridley's football staff and was the Head Lacrosse Coach at Springfield High School. Mr. Friel is a 1998 graduate of Cabrini College where he was a four-year starter on the lacrosse team. His main responsibilities include overseeing the high school athletics programs, as well as coordinating all facility uses at the high school.
