Dr. Tronya Boylan, Principal
Ithan Elementary School
Dr. Boylan joined Radnor Township School District in 2011 from the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, where she was a longtime reading specialist and most recently a principal, as well as assessment and federal programs coordinator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Bloomsburg University and earned her certification in reading education and a master’s degree from Saint Joseph's University. She obtained her principal’s certificate and doctorate from Widener University.
Dr. Anthony C. Stevenson, Principal
Radnor Elementary School
Dr. Stevenson served as Principal at Radnor Middle School from 2007 to 2014 before being appointed the district’s Director of Secondary Education. Dr. Stevenson has also served as an Assistant Principal at Radnor High School and Radnor Middle School and has more than 20 years' experience in public and private education. He began his teaching career in 1991 as a Project 2000 Teaching Associate at Robert Coleman Elementary School in Baltimore, MD. He also taught at William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia and Cheltenham High School. Dr. Stevenson began his administrative career as the principal of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Elementary School in Chester, PA. He went on to serve as a Dean of Student Affairs and Vice Principal in the Cheltenham Township School District before coming to Radnor in 2004.
Mrs. Heather Gillan-Esposito, Assistant Principal
Ithan and Radnor Elementary Schools
Mrs. Esposito was appointed the district's new Assistant Principal in 2020 and splits duties between Ithan Elementary School and Radnor Elementary School. She assumes the position after a successful two years as the district’s Elementary Dean of Students. Mrs. Esposito joined Radnor in January 2007 as a 5th-grade teacher at RES and also spent several years teaching both 4th and 3rd grades at Wayne Elementary School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Millersville University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from West Chester University. She obtained her principal’s certificate from Eastern University.
Nancy Ferguson, Principal
Wayne Elementary School
Mrs. Ferguson was appointed Principal of Wayne Elementary School in 2014 after serving as the school's Assistant Principal from 2013-14. She is a former teacher with 24 years’ experience in elementary and middle schools at Ridley and Lower Merion school districts, serving as a social studies teacher at Welsh Valley Middle School and an elementary school teacher in Ridley School District. She is a long-standing member of numerous action committees, ranging from professional development to cultural proficiency to the Danielson Framework for Teaching initiatives. She is also trained in the areas of teacher effectiveness and evaluation. Mrs. Ferguson holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education, a master's degree in Elementary Education from Cabrini College, and principal and supervisory degrees from Saint Joseph's University.
Brett Thomas, Assistant Principal
Wayne Elementary School
Mr. Thomas joined Wayne Elementary School in 2020 from Radnor High School, where he served as an Assistant Principal of Student Affairs since 2018. He has been with RTSD since 2005 in roles including RHS Dean of Students, learning/emotional support teacher and department chair. He earned a B.S. in Special Education from West Chester University in 2001, a Masters in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph's University in 2008, and a K-12 Principal and Supervisor Certificate in May 2008. He began his career in education at Upper Darby School District in 2001.
