Learn: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in RTSD

  • As part of our Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration, the RTSD Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee is proud to announce a series of upcoming Restorative Practice Listening Circles for members of the RTSD community. Through a partnership with Communities in Schools of the Lehigh Valley (CISLV), the committee will host an event for parents in February, staff in March and students in April.

Attendees will be invited to listen, connect and share various experiences with DEI-related topics in the RTSD community. In each circle, we will explore, acknowledge and embrace the differences between us and pave the way for a truly inclusive school community.

The ultimate goal of the listening circles is to provide our community with a safe space to have these important and necessary conversations. All sessions will be led by trained facilitators who will help guide the conversations.

Stay tuned for additional information. Questions on DEI in RTSD? Contact RTSD equity officer Anthony Stevenson.
