2018-2019 Before & After School Clubs

  • RES PTO sponsors "Before-and-after school clubs" to enrich our children’s learning and engage them in fun

Clubs have limited enrollment. Once you submit an enrollment request you will receive a confirmation from the parent volunteer to let you know if your child has been accepted into the club. You must receive confirmation of enrollment and submit an RES PTO Club Participation Teacher Letter before your child can attend the club.
HOURSBefore-school clubs start promptly at 8:00 am. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to this start time to check in your child and allow them to get settled. The club leaders appreciate you adhering to this guideline. Arriving after the start time delays the club. If a child is late more than twice the parents will be notified of their child’s potential withdrawal from the club without refund.
After-school clubs end at 4:30 pm. Parents must arrange for their child to be picked up on time or notify the club leader to send your child to aftercare. If a child is picked up late more than twice, or if a child is picked up more than 15 minutes late, the parents will be notified of their child's potential withdrawal from the Club without refund. Children will not be permitted to exit the building without an approved adult.
VOLUNTEERSSome clubs require weekly volunteers; if so, the Parent Volunteer for the club will ask that parents of enrolled students sign up to help for a week. If the request goes out, please consider helping out. It is a great opportunity to observe the club.
ASSISTANCEThe RES PTO would like to ensure that all of our clubs are available to all RES students. If you require financial assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to RES guidance counselor Ms. Casey at (610) 788-9300 ext. 2364 or sarah.casey@rtsd.org. All requests are strictly confidential.

Any questions regarding the clubs? Please email resptoclubs@gmail.com

  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The RES PTO adheres to the policies and procedures outlined below:
We encourage all parents to consider whether the club is a good fit for their child with regard to energy level, interest, etc. especially after a full day of school.
Instructors have a limited window of time in which to create and maintain a learning environment.  In the unfortunate event that an instructor observes a student disrupting the learning process resulting in a disciplinary issue, the following course of action will take place:

    1. The instructor will talk directly with the child.
    2. The instructor will contact parents (if the problem continues).
    3. The instructor will notify PTO Club Chairs.
    4. PTO Club Chairs will contact parents (if the problem continues).
    5. The instructor will excuse the child from the club (with no refund).

** If a parent is notified of a problematic situation by someone other than the instructor, the parent should contact the instructor to initiate the aforementioned process.

All After School PTO sponsored Clubs will be dismissed promptly at 4:30 pm. If a child is consistently picked up late, students may be requested to withdraw from the club. You must come to the designated pickup location to get your child and sign out with the club provider or club chair.
Please note there is no nurse on duty during after-school- clubs. 911 will be called for all emergencies.

Please note that even though clubs are held on school district property, they are under the jurisdiction of the PTO.
