  • WHO: All WES students and families, also open to the community

    WHAT: Help us celebrate Earth Day with a variety of activities that are good for our Planet. Vendors, volunteers, and teachers are available to show students how to keep the earth clean and sustainable. 

    WHERE: WES Bus Loop

    WHEN: Sunday, April 26th 1:00-3:00 pm (this event is rain or shine)

    HOW: Join us at WES for an afternoon of fun dedicated to bettering our Earth. Students can walk around from station to station for hands-on activities to learn more about how to keep our planet healthy. 

     

Activities

  • Refugia Potting Shed gives us the chance to get our hands dirty by planting pollinator plants to take home courtesy of local landscapers. 

    Discover
    WES Trail and Outdoor Classroom cleanup with Cub Scout Pack 284 and come explore the trail in all its wonder. Meet live animals with Riverbend and discover natural artifacts.

    Donate
    GreenDrop Truck will be there to collect your gently used clothing, shoes, books, sports equipment, toys, small furniture and household items. Your donations benefit the American Red Cross, so get Spring cleaning!

    Learn
    The Radnor Conservancy reminds us about recycling in Radnor and offers free tree saplings for an event day raffle. Mother Compost will join us with games on composting and green themed face painting!

    Plant

    WES PTO Wellness Committee will offer fresh herbs and vegetable tastings with yummy Dirt Cake for all who participate!

    Create
    WES Girl Scouts will help you make bird feeders to take home and attract birds to your gardens. Participate in an eco friendly art project with the Wayne Art Center and join WES Art Teacher Ms. Gallagher for a WES Recycle Art Installation.

    Move
    Ride Your Bike to Earth Day to get a bike and helmet safety check by WES parent Issac Denham and win a WES Earth Day water bottle (while supplies last)!
