    2018-2019 Year in Review

     

    We RAISED over $40,000

    • Parent Sponsorship Program raised over $14,600
    • Book Fair brought in over $2,800
    • Pretzel Fridays raised over $9,000 in its second year!
    • Radnor Spirit Gear sales brought in approximately $200
    • Spring Thing raised $17,500
    • Box Tops collected raised over $590

     

    We’ve DONATED

    • Wish list items for teachers and Dr. Boylan, including flexible seating, tables, classroom storage items, and tables for a new Maker Space in the library. We also anticipate purchasing new stage lighting for the Cafetorium ($15,000)
    • A Poster Maker & Cold Laminator to be used by teachers and the PTO ($6,000)
    • Gifts to all our teachers to be utilized in the classrooms ($2675)
    • Grade level gifts to help with field trips & other expenses ($2400)
    • Guidance Counselor fund to be disbursed as needed

     

    We’ve SPONSORED

    • Cultural Arts Assemblies: Chosen Dance, Author Visit from Peter Brown, The Bee Man, Science Shows for each grade from the Franklin Institute, and a week-long program for Grades 3-5 through Art Goes to School
    • RTSD Speaker Series featuring Dr. Wendy Mogel, in partnership with the Agnes Irwin School ($1500)
    • Field Day
    • Science Fair
    • PSSA Snacks for students ($430)
    • College Scholarship for RHS Senior who is an Ithan Alumni ($2000)

     

    We’ve HOSTED

    • New Student Pizza Party, Back-to-School Family Picnic, and Family Fun Nights ($1000)
    • Back-to-School Luncheon for Teachers, Fall Conference Days Dinner/Lunch, and Teacher Appreciation Week ($4000)
    • 14 Before and After School Clubs, enjoyed by over 250 students, and we’ve moved to online registrations
    • International Week – Children were immersed in the sights and sounds of Korea during this weeklong celebration ($1368) that culminated in a school-wide Family Potluck Dinner and Tae Kwon Do Assembly

     

    We’ve REACHED OUT to our community

    • Alex’s Lemonade Stand at Family Picnic and Yellow Day
    • School supplies and book drive for the Thomas G. Morton Elementary School in Philadelphia
    • Non-Perishable/Canned food drive for the Wayne Food Pantry
    • Poppin’ for the Spectrum to support Brandon’s Voice (raised $1,248)
    • Winter clothing drive supporting the Laurel House
    • Thanksgiving Meal Drive providing meals for local families through Eldernet and filling a local food pantry
    • 5th Grade Student Council collected sports equipment and raised funds for City Team
