  • Radnor Speaker Series

The Radnor Speaker Series is a private school / public school partnership between Radnor Township School District PTOs and The Agnes Irwin School.  Each year, these organizations welcome a nationally known speaker/author to speak to the Radnor Township community on topics relevant to parenting and the health and wellbeing of our children.

The 2019-20 Radnor Speaker series is scheduled for January 14th, 2020
Vulnerable: A Conversation with Ryan Leaf
Ryan Leaf, second overall 1998 NFL Draft pick will speak to our community about addiction and sobriety. The evening will start with a four-minute DVD introducing Ryan Leaf to the audience and showing highlights of his Football career and his dream to be a professional athlete. These dreams began to unravel as a result of making a few bad decisions. Tracing his journey to sobriety, Ryan will touch on such topics as the stress and pressures of being a successful teenager and the expectations that living up those expectations meant. Additionally, Ryan will discuss drunk driving, gateway drugs, peer pressure, bullying and cutting. Ryan has had the opportunity to review the wellness report from the Spring of 2019 from our community. After his presentation, Ryan will field questions from the audience.
