  • Has RTSD Developed a Plan for Online Learning if Schools Must be Closed?

    Posted by:

RTSD has been working diligently to prepare in the event of school closures across the Commonwealth, including special meetings with both elementary and secondary teachers the week of March 10 to prepare and fully understand the capabilities of the district’s Learning Management System, Schoology. Further, in-depth preparation will take place on Monday, March 16.

Should our schools close for a prolonged period, we would use Schoology to provide instruction to students in grades K-12. We are also exploring software that would allow for staff members to provide remote tech support if needed. The ultimate goal would be to continue to provide a high-quality education, while at the same time ensuring that students in Radnor would not need to go to school late into June. More information would be provided directly to parents and guardians should the district reach Level 4 of our Pandemic Action Plan.
