How to Submit Public Comment

  • Public comment is welcome for all Board, Special Board and Committee meetings. The Board requires that public participants be residents of the District, taxpayers of the District, persons with a legal or contractual right to address the Board or persons recognized by the Presiding Officer as having a special interest such that addressing the Board would be appropriate.

    There are two ways to make public comment during a RTSD board meeting:

    1. Deliver public comment live at a RTSD Board Meeting (Board, Special Board, Committee)
      •  
      • Participants will deliver their comment live during the public comment section of the meeting.

      • Eligible participants must be recognized by the Presiding Officer and must preface their comments by an announcement of their name and address.
      • Individual comment shall be limited to not more than 4 minutes as per Board Policy 006

    2. Send in public comment via email at any time prior to a RTSD Board Meeting (Board, Special Board, Committee)

      • Send your comment via email to boardcomments@rtsd.org.

        • Indicate in the subject line for which meeting you are submitting comment.
        • Include your name and address (required by Board Policy 006)

      • An administrator will read the comment during the public comment section of the meeting.  

      • Each comment must be no more than 4 minutes in length (per Board Policy 006
