    Great news,Radnor Education Foundation Logo
    the circus is returning to
    Radnor Elementary School
    for the 2019-20 school year!

Radnor Elementary School is hosting the Philly Circus
for one exciting week of artist-in-residence circus activities!  Our Circus Residency is generously sponsored by our PTO and the Radnor Education Foundation.  Students are looking forward to the fun and thrill of learning and developing circus skills!

2 artists-in-residence will be here all week to instruct students in "hands-on" workshops during their regularly scheduled PE and/or Wellness classes in the gym.  Not to worry, all activities are safe, "ground"-based circus skills selected to be age/grade developmentally appropriate. (No shooting cannons or flying trapeze high above the ground in our gym!)  Each class in our school will receive at least 50 minutes with our 2 circus artists.
Circus skills align beautifully with many of the Physical Education national and state standards with non-contact physical activities, improvement of self-images, improvement of eye-hand coordination and balance, achievement due to persistance, practice, and perserverance, and development of physical fitness!  Additionally, cross lateral movement such as juggling has been shown to improve brain function.
