A Message from the Principal: Thanksgiving
Dear Ithan Families,
I have shared in the past that Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I enjoy the time spent with family and the traditions we share. This year will be different, and I will not go to the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade which has been a family tradition for decades. Like many of you, my Thanksgiving celebration will be more intimate this year.
I really love Thanksgiving because it allows us to take time to share our gratitude by thinking about what it is that we are thankful for in a purposeful way. The choice to live with gratitude is one that is beneficial to everyone. I enjoy this time of year which is set aside for the purpose to reflect on the wonderful blessings of the year. I also love to help prepare a big Thanksgiving family dinner.
As I join my family this year, I will reflect upon the things which bring me joy, even in a challenging time. One of the things that brings me joy is the community of Ithan. I feel blessed to work with staff and families who are dedicated to working hard to create the best possible school for our children. I feel blessed that our students and families are happy and appreciative of our wonderful school and how we have come together to keep everyone safe and our school open. Thank you for all you do to support Ithan Elementary.
I hope your Thanksgiving is blessed with relaxing times with your family and quiet moments to enjoy them. I wish you a Thanksgiving filled with abundance, appreciation and family times.
