Degrees and Certifications:

Model United Nations

We are a club comprised of sophomores, juniors and seniors interested in international relations and in seeking solutions to global issues and conflicts. To this end, we prepare for and compete at high school Model United Nations conferences throughout the school year, simulating roles as delegates to the United Nations.

This year we will compete at Rutgers Model United Nations, Georgetown, the National High School Model United Nations Conference in New York City, and Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. At these conferences students practice creative problem-solving within an institutional framework and learn to negotiate and compromise with various stakeholders. Admission to Radnor Model UN is based on competitive tryouts held each year in the spring (usually the last week in May).

Timeline for Participation

  • Freshmen and Sophomores tryout (essay, speech, participation in a simulation) for Model UN in the spring (usually last week of May or first week of June, depending on when Memorial Day falls). Once a student is admitted to the club, they remain a member for their high school career.
