RHS - National Honor Society

  • The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.
There are four main purposes of the NHS: "To create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools.

Only students have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or above may submit a Candidate Information Packet for membership into Radnor High School's Chapter of National Honor Society.  Once students have received their Invitation Letters, they should choose "Membership Application" on the menu at the left.   Students should print out the packet, obtain the required recommendations, and then submit their completed packet to Mrs. Peterson in Room 125 no later than 3:15 on Tuesday, October 1, 2019.  In order to stay organized, students may collect their own recommendations and submit them in a sealed envelope with all their other documents.  Late or incomplete packets will not be considered for membership into the Radnor chapter of National Honor Society.
