Welcome to the RMS Social Studies Department

Sixth-grade Social Studies students will study world geography and cultures. This course will give students a firm grasp of the characteristics of places and regions, the patterns of human development around the world, and the interactions of peoples, places, and environments.

Seventh Grade Social Studies  analyzes the development of civilizations from the beginning of pre-history through the development of river and trade civilizations, the ancient empires, and up to the Age of Exploration.

Eighth Grade Social Studies focuses on the period of American History that begins with the development of the thirteen (13) colonies and proceeds through the United States of America’s Civil War and Reconstruction.
