Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Maria Rowley
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! I'm excited to be embarking on my sixth year at Wayne Elementary School. I am a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education and a master’s degree in Reading Education, as well as my reading specialist certification.
Before coming to WES in 2012, I was a special education language arts teacher, serving students ranging from preschool through grade twelve. This year I will be teaching fourth & fifth grade students in the READ180 program and first grade students in the TALL program. I’m looking forward to another year of engaging and memorable learning experiences with my wonderful students!
What is READ 180?
READ180 is a reading intervention program designed to build reading comprehension, academic vocabulary, and writing skills. This intervention takes place during students’ Intervention/Extension block three times per week.
