Schoology is a learning management system (LMS) which allows students and teachers to interact online, in and outside of the classroom. Through Schoology, teachers can post course content, provide resources for students, and review assignments. Students login to access one calendar and their class resources. They can submit assignments, take quizzes and participate in online discussions. Parents also have access to Schoology under a separate log in.

With Schoology, our educational experience can extend beyond the classroom and into the home environment. Schoology enables teachers to post assignments, publish calendars, and make classroom materials available online. Students can also submit their work online, and receive feedback from their teachers within the LMS.

There are many benefits to a solution like Schoology. Learning that starts in the classroom environment can continue at home, or from any device with Internet access. Teachers can facilitate discussions with their entire class within the Schoology environment, students post comments, access their calendar and resources and submit assignments from anywhere.

Our implementation of Schoology is also a commitment to preparing our students to be 21st-century learners. As our students prepare to advance to the next stage in their education, facility with online learning will continue to be an important skill to master.

1. Go to https://rtsd.schoology.com 

2. Enter Email or Username and Password

3. Click "Log in"

4. Click on the red rectangular "COURSES" button to access courses assigned to the child.

The login for Schoology changed at the start of the school year.

If you or your students are not logged in to your Office 365 account, you may see this login screen for Schoology:

There are 3 possible ways to enter Schoology on an iPad:

Schoology App with Clever Badge (browser version)

1. Tap the Schoology button.

2. To use your child’s Clever badge, click the Clever QR code.

3. Hold up the Clever Badge.

4. This will take you to Schoology in the browser.

5. Double-click the home button to move to another app. If you do not close the browser, the student should remain logged in.

Clever Badge through Clever (browser version)

1. Tap the Clever icon.

2. Hold up the Clever Badge.

3. Scroll down and tap the Schoology button.

4. This will take you to Schoology in the browser.

5. Double-click the home button to move to another app. If you do not close the browser, the student should remain logged in.

Schoology App (app version)

1. Tap the Schoology button.

2. Click Log in with Microsoft (Radnor ID)

3. Enter the student login information.

4. The student should remain logged in.

Student Logins for Grades K-2

*Logins for students in grades K-2 remain the same for our youngest learners. (Username: studentID@rtsd.org; Password: initials+studentID) 

Clever also keeps this elementary friendly: 

Clever integration with Schoology logins also brings Clever Badges – a quick way to scan a QR code to log in rather than typing usernames and passwords. Scanning a Clever badge on the iPad takes the student to Schoology

within the browser; it does not use the iPad app. Students can tap the Schoology button or the Clever shortcut (and then Schoology).

Student Logins for Grades 3-12 

If students in grades 3-12 are prompted to login, they log in using this format: 

flast56@stu.rtsd.org (grades 3-12)  

(first initial + lastname + last two of student ID @stu.rtsd.org)  

(passwords will remain the same)

Your preferred email address - should match the email address the district has on file

Your child(ren)'s first and last name(s) - and grades

Internet Browser - (e.g. Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox)

1. Go to https://rtsd.schoology.com
2. Click the Parent Login link.
3. Enter your Email or Username and Password.
4. Click “Log in”
5. Your name will appear in the top right corner. Click it.
6. Select your child’s name.
7. Click Courses to see the courses your child is enrolled in.

Schoology App

1. Open the Schoology App on a tablet or other mobile device NOTE: If you are using your student’s iPad, you will need to log out as your child and log in as yourself.
2. Select Radnor Township School District
3. At the bottom of the screen, click “Log in using Schoology.com”
4. Enter your email address and password. 
5. Click "≡" in the upper left corner
6. Click on My Children.
7. If you have multiple children in the district, click the student’s name in the top right corner to switch between children.
8. Course should be listed. If not, click on Enrollments
9. Click on the name of the course.

We have also created RTSD-specific Schoology for Parents groups within our Schoology system that provide step-by-step guides and allow you to learn more about the system as well as helpful tips for setting up and navigating Schoology.

To Join a Group: Click Groups at the top of Schoology. Select My Groups. Click Join Group on the right. Enter the Group Access Code. Click Join.

Home Access Center (HAC) is an online database that provides parents/guardians access to their child(ren)'s class schedule and academic progress and report cards (when available). Each parent/guardian can have his/her own HAC account. For questions or to receive log in information, please contact your corresponding school building(s).

PowerSchool has released a new app for accessing HAC. The eSchoolPlus Family app allows students and parents access to HAC from their mobile devices. The old HAC app used in years past is now discontinued and will no longer work.

To Access Report Cards: Click GRADES icon at the top of HAC. Click REPORT CARD tab.

**NOTES:

• Report cards will be available shortly after the marking period ends and trimester/semester grades are entered and verified
• Report cards for previous marking periods will be temporarily unavailable while grades are being entered between terms.
• Report cards for prior years are not viewable on HAC. Please reach out to your building or guidance department (RMS/RHS) for copies of previous year report cards if needed.

What is HAC?
Home Access Center, HAC, is a tool that is designed to grant parents direct access to their child's class schedule, attendance record, and academic progress including grades.

How do I access my child's information?
Parents will need logins and passwords to access the site.

What if I have more than one child in elementary, middle and/or high school?
Parent logins will permit access to all elementary, middle and high school students within the same family.

I forget, don't know, or don't have my log in information. What do I do?
Please click "Forgot My User Name or Password" on the login page and follow the prompts to reset your account. If you need additional assistance, contact the office of your corresponding school building(s).

What if my account is locked?
Accounts are locked after 5 unsuccessful tries within 10 minutes; the account will unlock after 60 minutes.

What if I have other questions about HAC?
Please contact your corresponding school building(s).

When are report cards available?
Report cards will be available shortly after the marking period ends and trimester/semester grades are entered and verified. Report cards for previous marking periods will be unavailable while grades are being entered between terms.

MySchoolBucks is an online payment service provides a quick and easy way to pay for school-related purchases. You can now pay for items such as laptop insurance, Summer School, and more using your credit/debit card or electronic check.

MySchoolBucks may charge a convenience or Program Fee in connection with the Services and/or transactions processed through the Services. If a Program Fee is charged, it will be displayed onscreen before you complete the payment transaction.

Getting started is a simple three-step process!

1. Download the app or visit the MySchoolBucks homepage and click on “Sign Up Free”.
2. Create a user profile with your email address, establish a password, and set up your security questions.
3. Add a Student to your account using the student’s name, date of birth, and/or student ID number. (Some schools and districts may require either the student’s date of birth or student ID number.)

Now you’re ready to make payments!

Annual payments and insurance can be paid online in MySchoolBucks by selecting one of the Featured Items from the Radnor Township School District School Store.

iPad

• From the home screen of your device, please go to ​‘Settings’ ​icon of your device.

• Near the top of your screen you should see a ‘WiFi’ ​option. Please click on that.

• You will see a list of available WiFi networks as long as the option is on (if it’s on, it will be green)

  • Select​ your WiFi network or Mobile Hotspot and enter the ​password​.

  • You have now successfully connected to your WiFi network on your iPad.

Chromebook

• First, sign in to the Chromebook.

• At the bottom right of your home screen, you should see the ​time​.

  • Click on the ​time/clock

• Select ‘​Not Connected​’, ​though keep in mind if you have previously had this device at home and on the WiFi, it may be already connected.

• Turn on ​WiFi ​(if not enabled already)

• Your Chromebook should now be looking for available Networks, please ​Select​ your Home WiFi network or Mobile Hotspot and enter the ​password​.

• You have now successfully connected to your WiFi network on your Chromebook

It is important that the full name of each student is visible in Zoom to allow teachers to confirm the individuals requesting access to their meetings are assigned to their class.  

To add your name the first time you use Zoom:

1. Prior to joining your class (on the desktop client, mobile app, or web client), enter this sample meeting ID number - 917 0877 6085. 

2. Type your first and last name. No password is needed.

3. Then click Cancel.

4. Zoom will remember your name going forward.

5. Now join your class using your teacher's link.
