In July, Pennsylvania formally recognized later secondary school start times as an educational initiative through the bi-partisan House Bill 2152. Long before this statewide recognition, RTSD made the decision to align the school day more closely with the biological sleep needs of teenagers.

Congratulations to the RTSD community members who were recently recognized with the Making a Difference Award presented by the Delaware County’s Right to Education Local Task Force. The award recognizes students, professionals, and community members who meet different criteria in support of the special needs community.

Join us on Wednesday, April 29 at 7 p.m. at Radnor Elementary School as Catherine Mallam, Lower School Director of Student Support at The Shipley School, shares practical strategies to help kids develop healthy friendships. 

RHS senior Mira Caplan was selected to participate in the prestigious American Choral Directors Association’s (ACDA) All-Eastern Honors Treble Choir. This event marks the first time in several years that an RHS choir student has received such an honor.

Congratulations to Dr. David M. Wiedlich, principal of Radnor Middle School, on being named one of three national finalists for the 2026 National Middle Level Principal of the Year, a prestigious recognition presented by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

The Radnor Township School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sharon Schaefer as Assistant to the Superintendent: Teaching & Learning. Dr. Schaefer was approved by the Radnor Township School Board during a special meeting held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, and will officially begin her role on March 2, 2026.
