WES 4th-Grader Wins Delco Libraries Young Poet Contest
More than 900 poems were submitted by students in grades 1-12 and the top three for each grade level were selected as winners. Winners' poems and names will be published in the contest's annual poetry anthology and the students will have the opportunity to record a reading of their poem for posting on social media. An online awards ceremony will be held in June.
This program is sponsored by the Mad Poets Society, Delaware County Libraries, Keystone State Literacy Association: Delaware County, Rose Tree Media Optimist Club, Pennsylvania Poetry Society and Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
