Instructional Innovation

Instructional innovation is a dynamic and essential component of modern education. We value a wide range of practices and approaches aimed at improving teaching and learning. From leveraging technology to exploring new pedagogical methods, instructional innovation is crucial for meeting the diverse needs of students and preparing them for the challenges of the 21st century. As the educational landscape continues to evolve, our school district is committed to fostering a culture of innovation that empowers educators, engages students, and ultimately enhances the quality of education. To that end, we strive to:

  • Cultivate an innovation culture.
  • Encourage creativity and imagination.
  • Implement novel instructional approaches and technologies.
  • Support risk-taking and reflection.
  • Communicate intentionally and foster trust.
  • Share our journeys and successes with other schools and districts.

Personalized Learning

Personalized Learning Framework Graphic

Our Personalized Learning Framework guides our innovative instructional practices combining the core 'pieces' of Data, Design, Digital (tools), and Dispositions along with  flexibly adapting Pace, Place, Path, Process, and Passion based on the learner profile. This integration creates a personalized experience that helps all students grow and achieve in various ways to attain academic success.

Future Ready

The Future Ready Schools District Pledge, developed by the U.S. Department of Education in October 2014, is a commitment by district leaders to work with educators, families, and community members to make all schools in their districts Future Ready Schools. The Future Ready Schools effort will encourage and support superintendents as they transition their districts to personalized, digital learning.
