RTSD is expanding its partnership with Springfield Pharmacy to provide the Pfizer vaccine to 12-15 year old students from Radnor, Marple Newtown and Haverford. The first dose will be administered May 17 from 1-8 p.m. at RHS. Schedules at both RMS and RHS have been adjusted.
The Chester County Health Department recently revised guidance concerning masking outdoors. Changes to the RTSD Health and Safety Plan were approved on 5/11 to reflect this revised guidance and no longer require mask-wearing outdoors.
After heartfelt remarks by several involved in the project, attendees donned hard hats and wielded shovels to ceremoniously usher in large-scale renovations to the school's athletics and wellness facilities, estimated for completion in Fall 2022. Discussion and planning for the project began in Nov. 2016.
The April 28 hearing continued an initial March 24 hearing to review an application from Valley Forge Military Academy to establish a charter school in Radnor. The hearing was again recessed and will next reconvene on May 12.
All Radnor students, parents, staff, and others who visit www.RTSD.org are invited to share their thoughts by May 12 on the site's design and layout as part of a redesign going live by Jan. 2022.
RHS will celebrate the Class of 2021 with a variety of modified, in-person events. Senior Prom is May 22, Senior Carnival is June 5, Baccalaureate is June 13, Senior Recognition Night is June 14 and Graduation is June 16.
RHS and RMS students recently competed in the Southeast PA National History Day Regional Contest. Ten projects placed in the top three in their category and are eligible to compete in the state round.
