Pre-Registration is Required, Registration Deadline Extended to March 15

Radnor Middle School 7th-graders who are currently enrolled in Course 2 and are interested in being placed in Algebra 1 in 8th-grade are invited to register for online assessment preparation sessions.

The sessions are designed to provide instruction on the skills and concepts that will be assessed on the Algebra 1 Pre-Requisite Skills Evidence of Mastery Assessment scheduled for May 9, 2019. Seventh-graders interested in possibly taking Algebra 1 in 8th-grade are encouraged, but not required, to participate in these sessions to prepare for the assessment. Online registration closes Fri., March 15.

This year's Algebra 1 Prep Sessions will be conducted online via Schoology. Students will have between March 1 and May 8 to participate in the lessons. Sessions will include video recordings of RMS teachers conducting lessons on the content that will appear on the Algebra 1 Prerequisite Skills Evidence of Mastery Assessment. Students will also have access to practice problems and answers so they can check their work. The access to instruction online will allow students to move through the content at their own pace, as well as pause and review the lessons multiple times, as needed. Students will have access to the content 24/7 on any internet-connected device from March 1 to May 8.

In addition to the online course, RMS will open a Math Help Center in the library every morning from 7:40-8 a.m. beginning Mon., March 11 so students can get extra help and ask questions as needed. The Math Help Center
