Two Radnor High School Students Selected to All-State Orchestra Ensemble
Radnor High School juniors Anika Jaswal and Aaron Zhu were recently selected to the Pennsylvania Music Educations Association (PMEA) All-State Orchestra Ensemble. They were selected to the cello and violin sections, respectively.
To earn a place in the 2021 All-State Ensembles, Anika and Aaron participated in a series of virtual auditions, beginning with District 12 in November 2020. The top members in that round won the honor of auditioning for the All-State Ensembles. A total of 15 RHS students were eligible to audition for the state groups following the District 12 auditions.
Anika and Aaron performed with the All-State Orchestra Ensemble during the 2021 PMEA (Virtual) Annual Conference from April 14-17. Junior Audrey Niedland also participated in the conference as a member of the All-State Wind Ensemble.
The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) is a statewide nonprofit organization of over 4,000 members, dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians.
