Approved 2021-22 Budget of $105,604,488 Provides for Many New and Expanded Services

The RTSD School Board approved a $105,604,488 district budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year on June 22 (view budget presentation | watch Board meeting). The approved budget represents a millage increase of .2595 mills, or 1.9%, and includes many exciting programs that are new or have been expanded for next school year, while also maintaining current class size guidelines.

Highlights of the 2021-22 Budget include:

New for 2021-22:

  • Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) implementation
  • New Social Studies Textbooks K-5 and 8
  • New Chemistry, Biology (Honors and Adv.) and Physics (Adv.) Textbooks
  • Revamping of elective options 9-12 in Health and PE (based on the work of the PE for Athletes Committee)
  • K-12 Counseling Services Coordinator
  • Elementary Computer Science/STEM Special at the Elementary Level
  • Cyber Program Planning and Support
  • Special Education Supervisor
  • Early Learning Pilot for Families who Qualify
  • Redesign for district website
  • RHS ADA Accessibility and Wellness Project
  • Capital Improvements throughout the district

  • Engaging summer learning opportunities K-12
  • RMS Tech Ed Curriculum Updates
  • High Quality Educational Software
  • Lakeside Mental Health Counseling Services
