At Its Monthly Meeting on January 22, the School Board Approved the Appointment of Brooks, Who Brings More Than 30 Years' Experience in the Field to Radnor Township School District
Mark Brooks, currently the Director of Facilities and Maintenance at the Cheltenham School District with more than 30 years' experience in the field, was appointed Radnor Township School District's new Director of Operations at the School Board's Jan. 22 meeting. Brooks also served as the Director of Maintenance at the Pequea Valley School District for nine years and the Program Administrator at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit for eight years.
During his career, Brooks has directed the design and construction of an $18 million LEED Gold elementary school and a $2.5 million athletic facility, which included a synthetic field and new stadium. He also directed the design team of a 102,000 square-foot renovation of an office building and conference center and implemented an energy management program which resulted in a 20% savings and qualified all district schools for an Energy Star label. Brooks began his career with Radnor Cablevision in the early 1980s before moving on to Comcast Cablevision. He entered public education in 2001.
Brooks holds a bachelor’s of science in business administration and a master's in business administration, both from Goldey Beacom College. His start date at RTSD is to be determined.
