Stern, Solomon Elected RTSD School Board President, VP

RTSD School Board Elects Susan Stern as President and Lydia T. Solomon as Vice President


 
Susan Stern and Lydia Solomon Susan Stern and Lydia T. Solomon were elected President and Vice President, respectively, of the Radnor Township School District Board of School Directors at the Board's Dec. 4 Reorganization Meeting. Stern was previously Vice President and Solomon was President. The seven other board members - Dr. Andrew Babson, Julia Bohnenberger, Patricia Booker, Sarah Dunn, Esq., Amy Goldman, Charles E. Madden III and Michael Miller - continue their terms.
 

Susan Stern (pictured, right) is entering her sixth year term on the RTSD School Board. She brings experience from a variety of volunteer service opportunities she has undertaken throughout Radnor Township. She serves on the township’s Planning Commission and is an active member of the Skunk Hollow Community Garden. On the School Board, she has served on the Facilities Committee, and currently serves on the Finance Committee and is Chair of the Policy Committee. Stern is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and works part-time as a business manager for a local church. She lives in Wayne. 

 

Lydia T. Solomon is entering her tenth year on the RTSD School Board. While on the Board, she has served as the Chair and Vice Chair of the Curriculum Committee, the Government Relations and Communications Committee, the Policy Committee, and the Facilities Committee. In addition, she has served as the Board Representative to the Delaware County Community College Liaison Board. a Board Member to the Delaware County Intermediate Unit and a representative to the Parent-Teacher Organization Coordinating Council. She is a school psychologist employed at the DCIU and has taught as a college professor at Eastern University in the Education Department. She holds a B.S. degree from Cornell University and graduate degrees from the University of California and Immaculata University. Solomon has also served as the PTO president for elementary, middle and high school levels in Radnor. Solomon has three children who have graduated from the Radnor school system.
