George Reigle Named RTSD Assistant Director of Special Education

At Its Monthly Meeting on January 22, the School Board Approved the Appointment of Reigle, Who Will Join RTSD from His Position as Director of Pupil Services and Special Education at Upper Perkiomen School District

 

George Reigle George Reigle, currently the Director of Pupil Services and Special Education at Upper Perkiomen School District, was appointed Radnor Township School District's new Assistant Director of Special Education at the School Board's Jan. 22 meeting. 

 

Prior to his position at Upper Perkiomen, Reigle was the Executive Director of Student Services and Special Education at the Chester Community Charter School. He has ten years' experience in special education, beginning as a Special Education Emotional Support Teacher at Locke Elementary School in Philadelphia. 

 

At Upper Perkiomen, Reigle oversaw all aspects of the Pupil Services Department, including special education teachers, gifted education teachers, nurses, and guidance counselors. He was tasked with implementing effective systems within the department, including compliance monitoring, staff development, and home/school partnerships for more than 3,300 students. 

Reigle holds a bachelor’s of science in elementary and special education from Eastern University, a masters' degree in special education from Cabrini College, and certificates as a reading specialist and supervisor of special education from Cabrini and Eastern, respectively. His start date at RTSD is to be determined.
