What does the college admissions landscape look like today? How can you match interests, abilities, values and karma with the right college? How does a college admissions committee operate and for what are they really looking for? What are the current trends and hot topics in college admissions? And just how are you supposed to pay for it all?
Cigus Vanni, the former assistant dean of the college and admissions counselor at Swarthmore College and the former director of counseling for the Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken, will lead workshops on February 24, March 3, March 10 and March 17 from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Radnor Township Municipal Building (301 Iven Ave., Wayne) to help soon-to-be high school graduates and their parents answer these questions and more.
The workshops are free to all students and parents and no reservations are necessary. While each individual session covers different topics, the workshops are meant to be experienced as a series. Attendees will also have the chance to win college T-shirts and sweatshirts!
The sessions are sponsored by the Radnor Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (Radnor PAGE) and are intended to augment, not supplant or substitute, high school counseling efforts.
