Students Advance to State National History Day Competition

Radnor Middle School Students Advance to State National History Day Competition

National history day state qualifiers Radnor Middle School entered 18 projects in the regional National History Day Competition at Chester County Historical Society in West Chester on March 30. All projects centered around this year's National History Day theme, "Triumph & Tragedy in History."
The ten RMS students that placed in the top three in their category and advanced to the state round at Carlisle Area High School on May 10 and 11 are:
  • Dustin Schrader - Third Place, Documentary
  • Camden Cheshire - First Place, Exhibit
  • Cailyn Lee - Second Place, Exhibit
  • Rory Rayer - Third Place, Exhibit 
  • Mia Xie - First Place, Paper 
  • Emily Holtz - Third Place, Paper 
  • Ben Holtman - Second Place, Performance 
  • Renata Kozlowska - First Place, Website 
  • Claudia Gelles - Second Place, Website 
  • Sungwoo Oh - Third Place, Website 
National History Day is a year-long educational program that engages students in grades 6-12 in the process of discovery and interpretation of historical topics. Students produce dramatic performances, imaginative exhibits, multimedia documentaries, websites and research papers based on research related to the annual theme. These projects are then evaluated at local, state, and national competitions.
