More Than 100 Multilingual Families Bond and Learn More About Radnor at First-Ever Community Resource Fair

Radnor Middle School was humming with activity and good vibes as more than 100 students and families enrolled in RTSD's English Language Development (ELD) program got to know each other and learned more about all Radnor has to offer at the district's first-ever Community Resource Fair for Multilingual Families on Sat., Jan. 4.

"As a district, we are committed to the highest level of equity and access to education for all students," Radnor Middle School teacher and English Language Development Coordinator Ashlee Miller said. "Attendance was double our goal, so we are very excited and appreciate all the families who joined us."

The free informational event featured meet-and-greet opportunities with other RTSD families and representatives from organizations from around Radnor Township and the surrounding community. Students enjoyed crafts, activities, and bounce house, while all families had a chance to participate in raffles and win prizes.

Thank you to the ELD teachers/superheroes throughout RTSD who organized the event as well as participating organizations, including the Radnor Police and Radnor Fire departments; Radnor Memorial Library; the RHS after school tutoring program; RTSD Parent-Teacher Organizations; RTSD Health Services; RTSD Special Education; Delaware County Intermediate Unit; Delaware County Technical Schools; New York Life; Sun Federal Credit Union; League of Women Voters of Radnor Township; Wayne Food Pantry; and more.
