Retirees Honored for 337+ Years of Service to Community

Radnor Township School District Honors Retirees for More Than 337 Years of Service During Virtual Board Meeting, June 23

Board Also Recognizes Retiring Student Representatives and Exemplary Student-Musicians

Retirees The Radnor Township School District School Board recognized 14 retiring employees for their 337.9 combined years of service to Radnor students during its monthly board meeting on June 23. The virtual meeting aired live on the RTSD YouTube channel and many of the honorees joined the Zoom call to receive congratulatory remarks from their supervisors and share parting words.

This year's retirees and their years of service to the district are: Anthony Blaha (43), Thomas Flanagan (3), Gail Furman (18), Christopher Mallory (16), Roseann Mallory (16), Ana Megerian (20.5), Dr. Byron McCook (23.4), W. Thomas McLaughlin (29.5), Stephen Miller (14.5), Catherine Shields (29), Janet Sullivan (43), Mark Trama (33), Phuoc Truong (29) and Marsha Upshaw (20). 

The Board also recognized student-musicans Anya Chan, Sumi Jung, Amia Korman and Ryan Oliver for their selection to various Pennyslvania Music Education Association (PMEA) All-State Ensembles (view video here) and RHS students Ali Bauer, Akshaya Bharath, and Jesse Conen for their service as Student Representatives to the School Board Facilities Committee, Government Relations and Communications Committee, and Curriculum Committee, respectively (view video here).
