Radnor High School Announces Senior Events for Class of 2021

4 students holding silver balloons that say "2021"Radnor High School is excited to announce its plans to celebrate the RHS Class of 2021.

"This time of year our seniors begin to think about life after Radnor High School and look forward to beginning a new journey, whether that is a college or career. Before we let the Class of 2021 go, we have a number of events lined up to honor them," principal PT Kevgas said.

An in-person Senior Prom is scheduled for May 22 at RHS, Baccalaureate is June 13, Senior Recognition Night is June 14 and RHS will return to Villanova University for Graduation on June 16. New this year is a Senior Carnival on June 5 planned by members of the Senior Parent Celebrations Committee in collaboration with the RHS administrative team.

Additional information (originally shared in a letter from Mrs. Kevgas) is available below.

Senior Prom: Saturday, May 22

Senior Prom is Saturday, May 22 from 7-10 p.m. in the Junior Lot at Radnor High School. The senior class sponsors, student government and administration have worked closely to plan a memorable night for the Class of 2021. There will be two covered areas, one for dancing and one for a catered dinner, which allow for social distancing. In addition, seniors will be allowed to bring a date from another school, if desired.

Here are the requirements for all students, including non-Radnor students, attending Senior Prom at Radnor High School:

  1. Register for the Radnor High School Senior Prom by Monday, May 10.
    • The registration form will be posted on Schoology by Monday, May 3.

  2. Take a COVID-19 test ten (10) days before the prom.
    • If a student receives a positive result, they will be required to quarantine following the timeline outlined by the Chester County Department of Health (CCHD) before the Radnor High School Senior Prom.

    • ALL students registered to attend the Prom, including non-Radnor students, must show proof of their test, whether the result is negative or positive. Students must email proof of their test to both principal PT Kevgas and school nurse Stephanie Grabuski. The date of the test must be dated ten (10) days before the prom.

    • If a student registered to attend the Prom, including non-Radnor students, is vaccinated, they can show proof of vaccination and bypass taking a COVID-19 test. However, the student must have be fully vaccinated in order to do so. If a student received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the student must be fourteen (14) days past their shot. If a student received either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, the student must have received both shots and be fourteen (14) past their second shot. All students regardless of the vaccine they received, must email a picture or copy of their vaccine card to both principal PT Kevgas and school nurse Stephanie Grabuski.

  3. Each student must be breathalyzed (per School Board Policy 226: Searches) by a Radnor High School administrator upon arrival to the Senior Prom at Radnor High School.
    • If a student is found to be under the influence, the student’s parent(s) or guardian(s) will be called, and the student will be required to leave campus with their parent(s)/guardian(s). The student will also be subject to school discipline as outlined in the Radnor High School Student Handbook.
