Fun Facts About the Radnor High School Class of 2021

 

The 309 members of the Class of 2021 have left their mark on Radnor High School, wrapping up their senior year with resilience, determination and grace. This year's class experienced a senior year like none before to conclude high school and will be truly missed by all faculty and staff.

Here are some fun facts about this year's graduates. Click here to learn more about the end-of-year celebrations planned for the Class of 2021, including graduation on Wednesday, June 16.

  • Out of the 158 males in the class, Zachary, Matthew and Samuel are the most common names. There are four each of them.
  • Out of the 151 females in the class, Elizabeth is the most common name. There are five of them.
  • Six members of the Class of 2021 will be celebrating something else during the week of graduation – their birthday. Happy birthday to Scott Belveal, Stellarose Emery, Isabella DiGiacomo, Amanda McGrath, Amal Haq, and Sophia Geralis!
  • There are two particularly "rad" graduates: Conrad French and Jane O'Grady
  • Seven sets of twins will graduate this year! Congrats to the Bentz, D'Ambra, Dixon, Hannum, Kelly, South, and Yarnall families!
  • When asked their favorite musician or band, the most popular choices for the Class of 2021 were:

  • When asked their favorite TV show, the most popular choices for the Class of 2021 were:

  • When asked their favorite grade, the most popular choices for the Class of 2021 were:
    1. 12th
    2. 11th

  • When asked to chose their favorite Philadelphia sports team, the Class of 2021 results were:
    1. Eagles
    2. Sixers
    3. Flyers
    4. Phillies
  • When asked their favorite academic subject, the most popular responses from the Class of 2021 were:
    1. Math
    2. History/Social Studies
    3. English
    4. Science
    5. Biology
  • When asked to chose one word to describe the Class of 2021, the most common responses were:

  • When asked what they are looking forward to most as the world opens back up, the most common responses were:
    1. Concerts
    2. Traveling
    3. Not wearing a mask
    4. Hanging out with/seeing friends
    5. Movies, sporting events (tie)
  • This year’s graduates plan to attend 118 different post-secondary institutions.
  • The college/university set to have the most Radnor graduates as freshmen next year is Penn State University, where 20 future alumni plan to attend either main campus or satellite campuses. The second-most college/university scheduled to welcome members of the Class of 2021 is The University of Pittsburgh, where 14 graduates plan to attend. Third is Temple University, where 11 members of the Class of 2021 plan to continue their education.
  • Nine graduates are set to move on to Ivy League schools - Dartmouth, Cornell, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, and Yale
  • 100 students plan to attend Pennsylvania colleges/universities.
  • Six students plan to attend Pennsylvania community colleges.
  • Three graduates plan to attend U.S. Military Academies.
