Will a later start time disrupt athletics?

  • Schools that have adopted later start times have found extracurricular activity participation remains largely unchanged. In addition, research confirms that students experience fewer sports injuries when well-rested.
  • RHS administration is working with Central Athletic League (CAL) schools to move as many competition times from 3:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. as possible, understanding that facilities constraints in specific districts may not permit htis to happen
