Are we sure sleep deprivation is a concern for Radnor High School students?
Yes. According to a sleep survey administered to RHS students in Spring 2018:
- 72.5% of respondents self-reported getting less than the required amount of sleep during the school week
- 91% of students surveyed feel that sleepiness is a problem and, as a result, self-reported negative mood symptoms such as sadness, unhappiness and worrying too much
- 31% reported arriving late and 33% report falling asleep in a morning or afternoon class as a result of sleepiness
