Will all teachers use BBB to provide live instruction? (April 3)
Our teachers are at varying levels of experience with online instructional tools. Some teachers may begin using BigBlueButton (BBB) right away, while others may use more asynchronous options to engage their students. Live online instruction may make sense for some subject areas, grade levels, and activities, but not for others. All of our teachers are reaching out to their students (6-12) or parents of their students (K-5) the week of March 30 to find out what is working well and in what areas we can make improvements. For some, the use of prerecorded videos and lessons has worked very well. Others may like to see more of a balance between synchronous and asynchronous opportunities. The surveys will help our teachers plan appropriately. We will continue to provide teachers with professional development to support them as they work to provide concise, engaging lessons and activities that address the most critical parts of our curriculum.
